You can only fly once you are willing to give up the safety of your cocoon.”~ Connie Lynne
Are you in a place in your life where you find yourself wondering, “Where to from here?” or “What do I do now?”
Perhaps you’ve worn a particular identity for so long that it’s become like a second skin.
And now that things have shifted, that identity, that familiarity of having things being a certain way is drifting away, leaving you on unchartered territory.
Or perhaps you’ve found yourself in a new phase of your life, feel a longing for the “old way” of doing things, and don’t quite know how to embrace this new phase.
There are many transitions that we undergo in a single lifetime.
Some feel exciting.
And others feel scary. Challenging. Painful, even. Transitions like empty nest, married to being single, no kids to becoming a parent, employed to retirement, midlife crisis, menopause, being healthy to not, turning 40, turning 50, turning 60, etc.
Look at caterpillars before they become butterflies.
As they grow, repeatedly shedding their old skin that no longer fits them, they transition into the pupa phase.
Here, the tissues and cells that essentially make up the caterpillar are broken down inside the pupa/cocoon and then rebuilt to form the butterfly.
However, the butterfly still inside the little pupa, must push and push against the pupa to break free.
To embrace its identity as a beautiful butterfly, the butterfly encounters struggle.
But that struggle of having to keep pushing against the pupa to break free strengthens the butterfly’s wings, so when it is finally free, it is able to flap its wings and fly.
Like the butterfly that was once a caterpillar, we too must rebuild ourselves during various transitions.
While that may not be easy, it is often in the midst of these transitions that we most likely come to a turning point. As in alchemy, that the lead turns to gold.
A significant time in our lives that makes us change direction and do things differently.
A point in our lives we can look back on and say, “Now this. This is when I knew I had to make that choice.”
That choice to step up and start the process of creating the life my heart so desires.
And do you know what?
You don’t have to do it alone.
You have the opportunity of being a part of a powerful group of like-minded women going through life transitions just like you. I have something very special I am planning for you.
And I will be right there alongside you, guiding you, mentoring you, and supporting you.
